  1. I'm a nursery Nurse and have been so for eight years so I can give you a really good idea. You have to really like children and have a lot of energy cause they tire your out. You need to be a team player and co operate with the people you work with. Communication skills are key as you need to talk to parents, children, staff and other professionals. The ability to learn new things and take on board things people tell you. Being creative is important by this I don't mean being good at art (which can help) but being able to come up with activities to challenge and develop the children you are working with. A good understanding of child development which you can learn at college and through experience. Being patient is really important as well and staying in complete controll when under pressure. Hope this helps most of these skill are learned by experience.
