  1. Its just going to be basic rules of the road, there is usually a signs section where they test you on what all of the different signs mean. You could also get questions asking you what to do if you skid out of control, if you were hydroplaning and stuff like that. At least that was how they did it in GA. Just a suggestion but if the booklet is too thick for you, it doesn't sound like you should be driving because if you don't know the rules of the road you won't be a safe driver. Most of the stuff on the test is just common sense though.

  2. It changes every time...they range from "what color is a stop sign (really, I had this one)" to stuff about what to do when you brake down. Search and take some sample tests online.

  3. Well, I live in Florida and the book must have been anorexic cause it was SKINNY! And the test was very easy, but I don't know how Texas works, so GOOD LUCK!

  4. Use this site for a practice test and good luck........

  5. Almost all states post a practice test on line.

To find your states DMV, google your state and DMV. For example 'CA DMV' to find the California DMV. Any of the first hits will take you there. The DMV-ORG site will have a link on it's page to 'Drivers license', which will also take you to permits and practice tests.

    Good luck.
