  1. The largest tribe, not group, of people is the Navajo tribe and have to be 1/4 or more blood to be registered with this tribe.

  2. TCHOUPITOULAS, a street in New Orleans and a French settlement outside of N.O. at one time

The name of an extinct Indian tribe.

  3. I have no idea I believe the largest group of Indian' are Navajo's.

  4. it is difficult to say what native group(s) are considered to be more endangered than others because there are several in the americas that possess this quality. i suggest you refer to the ethnologue database and search the various countries of central and south america. this site will show you extinct language groups as well as nearly-extinct groups.

  5. Several years ago in Borneo or New Guinea, I am not sure which, a new tribe was discovered consisting of 27 or 29 members.  They were completely unknown and knew nothing of the outside world.  This was documented and shown on a National Geographic special.

  6. i9de say the rarest are ones who dont own convenient stores

  7. I don't know about the rarest group of Indian, but I can tell you their most direct ancestors still alive today (barely) and not living in America... The Ainu from Hokkaido island in Japan former REAL Samurai desecrated by the arrival of Chinese on the continent 2600 years ago...

  8. I would have to say the rarest of all, would not be known to us today, I know more about the Natives of the Pacific Coast then the rest of North America, and its amazing and astounding  how rare, small, and self sufficient  so many where.

The tribes that we know today are mixtures of many smaller bands, tribes, and families, which history has categorized by various unreasonable methods, in the Northwest there were small tribes whose entire culture and history have been lost, so I can't think of a particular rarity, but certainly the rarest is unfortunately many years extinct by now.
