What are the real requirements to get back into the united states from mexico?

  1. By land? You need photo ID and proof of citizenship (i.e. birth certificate).  By air you need your passport.


  2. You can't be a w3t b@ck to get back in!

  3. Until the first part of 2009 (that's the date of right now, but its been bumped twice now I believe) you only need a current photo ID - however, it is real easy to get a passport these days.  All you need is your birth certificate and go into your local post office, they can help you get one and they even mail it back to you!  I just got mine and it only took about 2 weeks.
