If  buyers are more than seller, then it creates a demand. because of this, stock goes up in the share market, and is sellers are more, the it goes down.

1. Company performance (judged by the Quarterly numbers).

2. Company bagging a project/order.

3. Change in Government policies.

4. Buy back/open offer.

5. Market sentiments.

6. Traders playing with the stock.

7. Good future.

The stock may rise/fall because of one or several reasons. You will have to keep an eye on all the factors and then decide.

Company's expected growth, current performance, govt's policy towards the company's sector, climatic conditions in case of agri based companies. and so on
