What are the reasons behind the failureof 600 hp electric motor?

if so then that is your problem, get another brand.

I would check to see if your controller is putting out power to the motor.

I would check the resistance of the wires going in to it to see if there is a break somewhere,

if it has brushes, check to see if there is proper spring force behind them.

I would check to see if it still spins (turn it over by hand or with a wrench) to make sure that nothing is rusted in place.

my guess........try the brushes first..........those are the things that wear down ..........better hope it aint the armature

I never heard of a 600 hp electric motor in a boat. Are you talking about a nuclear submarine.
