i sat with her for a while and she was like curving her back and turning her head

when i let go of her, her wigns would stretch out and the i couldnt do it anymore cuz i got to upset

my step dad told me that we cant do anything else and he would know he used to breed budgies

  1. it wasn't a fit. that happened to my bird as-well. It was nemonia. If you have any recent pictures of your budgie you will see that his/her nostrils were blocked. What was happening was ur bird was felling very sick. Ur bird was lying down because it wasn't felling to great.

I hoped this helped you. And if you have anymore questions feel free to ask them to me by sending me a message

  2. I'm sorry to hear that.  Is she old??

If your step dad is a breeder and he knows all about them then he's probably right.

I think the best thing for you to do is just be with your bird, talk to her, pet her, let her know you're there while she passes away.

    I'm so sorry. =(

  3. Sorry to hear it.. ='(

maybe it was like kakarikis, they have weak hearts from imbreeding. You gotta put em into a cardboard box becoz their little hearts cant take it when something happens.

Did u check with the previous owners of the bird and see if she was in a accidental imbred thing??

Well I'm sorry, and everyone reading this post is feeling sorry.

  4. So sorry for your loss. She may have been egg bound or maybe calcium deficient . Did she have plenty of calcium supplements? My bird had seizures from calcium deficiency and another bird I had had them from zinc, and lead, toxicity from the cage bars they would bite on and the toys they played with. I switched to all stainless steel after that,. Could have been so many things. Know she is in better place now. You will see her again at the Rainbow Bridge. :)

  5. By what you have said your bird could have knocked it's head at some time and caused a blood clot and that is why it was having seizures

    Sorry for your loss.
