What are the recycling codes?? and if they are recyclable i need to know>>?

i am in enviro club and we collect the recyclables from our skol and i want to no the codes to put in every class room in the skol so students can no if dey can recycle it or not i will choose best answeers plz help me i cannot fiund it myself and ty fro answersing

  1. The codes for the different type of plastics are below:

    1 “PET” – Such as fizzy drink, water and beer bottles.

    2 "HDPE” – Such as milk bottles, some detergent, bath and shower gel bottles.

    3 "PVC” – Such as vegetable oil bottles

    4 "LDPE" – Used in film applications but also some flexible bottles, lids etc

      

    5 “PP” – Such as ketchup, pancakes syrup bottles, garden or DIY bottles, motor oil containers, margarine or yogurt pots.

    6 "P" – Polystyrene, this is the expanded plastic packaging you often get with new elecricals.

    7 "Other" –  Anything plastic that does not fit into the list above

    You will find that types  1 & 2 are the easiest to recycle and ones like polystyrene need to be re-used instead.
