Question:

What are the regulations for emergency lights in a personal vehicle in PA (emt-b responder) ?

I'm currently an emt-b in the state of PA who responds to calls with an non-profit ems service in my personal car. I'd like to install some lights in the car so other drivers know where I'm going. Ideally I want wig-wags in the headlights, and a blue/white strobe in the windshield. I've been trying to interpret the PA legislature but it's very confusing. Can anyone from the state with expirience help me out?

  1. The Sheriff's Department in your county has the authority to grant the use of emergency lights and siren. Check with them.

  2. Does this help?
