What are the reprecussions of having a medical marijuana licsence in CA if your are a teacher?

Need Marijuana for medical reasons but afraid of consequences and confidentiality as a teacher credentialed in CA

Do not test positive for it at work.  If you do I would imagine you would be fired.  The difference between pot and booze...   How long they stay in your system.

I believe teachers certificates are given out by the state and your state allows marijuana, its the federal government that doesn't so I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem. I think it's ridiculous how people view alcohol as something that people can seperate from their worklife but anyone who smokes pot can't have a job b/c people think you can't seperate pot from  your work life.

Check with your Union before doing this. You may still be able to be fired for using it. As stated, the Feds will still arrest you if you are caught with it.

if you have a prescription than its fine,just use common sense.
