What are the required specification of passport photo for the purpose of court marriage's documentation?

The US Dept. of Consular Affairs requires that a passport photo be 2 by 2 inches square, in color, and taken recently (within six months).  You have to be wearing street cloths, without a hat or any glasses or other items you dont normally have on.  If a man has grown or shaved a beard or a person has dyed their hair since the photo, you need to have a new one made.
