I've been operating under the assumption that a four year degree was required to apply. However, I was just browsing a military forum where it was mentioned that you may only need 90 credits? Where does this come from?

Do you guys have any advice as to the best way to go about seeking a commission?

For reference: I'm am not prior duty or currently enlisted.

  1. That's Army ONLY and you must complete your degree within a certain time frame.

  2. If you are an active duty member of the USCG, an E-5 and have 60 college credits, you can get a temporary commission.

In the Army, you can get a commission before your senior year of college. You can also get a temporary commission with 90 credits. My advice? Being a commissioned officer is hard enough, you don't need to pressure of finishing your credits. Finish your credits and then apply for a commission.
