  1. Well there are many requirements for a fiance visa for Australia. For instance, you intension to come to Australia is to marry an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

You'll be granted a 9 months temporary visa, if you don't get married within 9 months, you'll have to leave Australia. You can check out other requirements here : http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/partner/...

After you marry an Australian citizen, you'll have to apply for a spouse visa (2 years temporary visa). By this, you're granted the right to work in Australia. After 2 years you will be re-assessed to to determine whether permenent residency will be granted.

    Good luck! :)

  2. wow there are c**p loads of requirments, i brought my hubbie over from america to australia and it cost over $10,000 and 9 months of paper work. its hard!

the website with every single form you need is:

    www.immi.gov.au

now theres heaps you need so i wont go into everything but some main points. 1stly you need to be engaged to an aussie and proove it, i mean heaps and heaps of photos together, letter, e-mails, reciepts from restraunts you went to together, movie stubs, bank accounts together, credit cards together ect. the more you have the better (we had a filing box full of it).

then you must be completetly healthy as they make you do a completet health check.

you must NOT have any criminal records in any countries.

you must have a substantiall amount of money in the bank account (thousands, and it depends on what your partner and you do for a living)

you must have some kind of job skill so you do not rely on our social security. it doesnt have to be flashy for a fiancee visa but it does have to be something.

and you must have a wedding date planned for the first 6 months (ithink) from the paper work and they will look and ask for the planning you are doing on your wedding day.

now if thats all cool you start the process of filling in paper work. this paper work must be 100% correct and if you muck up one little question you get denied. we got a lawyer and thanks goodness we did. i reccomend one.

after all that you wait and wait and wait and after some months (depending if they have alot of paper work 6-18 months) they say no way your not comming in or come in for an interview.

this interveiw is important and they will drill you with questions about your partner (fav colour, what music ect) then ask why you love each other, ask about how you will live together (housework, bills, work) ask about your futures together ect ect ect and if your stories or future aspirations do not fit they will basically let you know after a while longer that no you dont get into the country, if they do you get a letter saying you can live in australia as a permanent resident.

if you want to become an aussie citizen you must stay in oz for 3 years with your then wife and then you can sit another test to become a citizen or you can just be a perm. res. for the rest of your life.

thats just a quick run over everything. theres alot of work to go into it and alot of money but its worth it. good luck
