  1. A collage of children? Beautiful. Love art.

  2. depends on ur state and the agency u foster parent for

  3. You apply through your county.

You need to be 21 in most states.

You need to be stable and dependable, but not necessarily married or employed.

You need to be committed to the child/children in question and committed to making a difficult and terrifying situation as easy as possible for them. You will, in most states, take parenting courses that deal specifically with foster situations and children with abusive/abandonment backgrounds. You are similar to a 'co-parent' in that you are housing and caring for the child until their parent/s are better able to care for them unassisted. It can often be difficult to return a child to a situation that--from your vantage point--seems far worse than your home....but ultimately, foster care is about reuniting families.

  4. most states all have their own requirements to become foster parents... my husband and i are in the middle of this process right now... but in most states you have to be 21, have a stable job, be able to afford your own bills plus those of raising a child until the state reimbursement comes in... and you need to have enough room in your home to house a child...

  5. You need to be 18 with a regular income and the ability to pay your bills.  Marital status isn't an issue as long as you are either single or in a stable commited relationship but you don't have to be married.  If you are single you would have to provide proof that you could care for a child on your own financially as well as emotionally and that you would have approved care for the child when you aren't with him/her.  Every care provider must be approved by state for foster children.  There is a homevisit and classes. Fingerprinting and criminal background check.  They usually advise doing foster-to-adopt instead of just fostering just in case you get attached to a child and he/she becomes available for adoption.

  6. you have to be over 21, you dont have to be married or have a partner! you need enough space for the child and the attention and love they need!
