Just curious because my husband does not have a passport as of yet. And because he is a mexican citizen, I wasn't sure if he would need anything when he returns. It takes so long to get passports now.

  1. yeah he needs the passport

  2. both of you need passports, im traveling to cancun in 4 days and my girlfriend is mexican and she had to have a passport in order to go in the country, i also needed one, if u get a passport in rush delivery which is about 2-3 weeks you will be spendind about 200 dollars per passport, if you are not in a hurry then i suggest pay reguar price which ir about80 dollars and you will recieve it in 6-8 weeks, you can usually take ypur photo and do your papework at the post office or the government center, so all you would need is your passports and state id and you will be fine. I hope i answered ypour question :)

  3. You need a passport to cross international borders.  Until this past January, and it was supposed to have been before then, but the paperwork for US passports was so heavy that they exetended it, you didn't need a passport to cross in a car, but a driver's license and birth certificate were sufficient.  As of Jan 2008 (I think it was the end of the month), all people crossing the border need a passport.  He should have gotten it when the law was passed a couple of years ago, if you were planning to make a trip.  It should only take a couple of weeks (3 - 7) to get a passport.  The longer number for NEW ones, it only took three weeks to renew mine, last winter.

  4. Well were going in June me and hubby and his passport expired i talked to people and they said its not a problem but im still looking into cuz with everything going on i want to make sure he is safe too. Please let me know is you find out anything by emailing me everlasting_matchstick04@yahoo thanks

  5. If you´re crossing the borderline in a car non inmigration officer asks for anythin.. But whit his I.D will be enough (credencial de elector)

If you´re flying you´ll need a passport even before you bord the plane cause of airlines regulations. (security mainly)

Anyways they can´t deport him to U.S.A!!

  6. As a Mexican citizen, your husband must use a Mexican passport. Only American citizens may get an American passport ( and, by the way, it only takes 4 weeks to get one).  He does not need  a passport to enter Mexico by LAND. He SHOULD have one to FLY, tho I know of Mexican citizens who have flown to Mexico without one.  He will need a Mexican passport to fly OUT of Mexico.   You can call the airline and verify this. He can get a new Mexican Passport at the nearest Mexican consulate in just a few days if he has his birth certificate.   He must also carry his green card so he can re-enter the U.S.  To trvel by LANH, he needs his green card and a photo I.D...but a Mexican passport is better.  If he is in the U.S. legally he is reasponsible to keep a valid Mexican passport.
