What are the requirements for welfare?in new orleans,la

we are a family of 3.me and my husband both work but both of our hours have gotten cut dramatically.the bottom line is we dont make enough to pay our bills.ive been searching for something better,but ive had no luck.if anyone can tell me the steps i need to take and requirements i would aprreciate it.

I don't know about la, but where I live in Florida it's a nightmare to try and get any help.  Before I got married I was making 8 bucks an hour 40 hour a week with a disabled child and only getting $200 in child support on and off. My daughter could get medical but the only other thing we could get was $8 in foodstamps so I said forget it.  But it might be differant in your state.  Florida doesn't seem to like to take care of their people.  goodluck

    Don't listen to that idiot below me (as he should be) we all need help.  Whether it's welfare or asking daddy for a little money we all need help from time to time.  God forbid if anything were to ever happen to him, he would be begging for that welfare check..karma is a *****...bet he's a republican
