  1. For preschool... there probably are not any requirements. Though some preschools may require that you graduated from HS. Knowledge of early childhood development and an ambition to be a teacher are always a plus. In addition, you'll need lots of energy and a positive attitude. Start by visiting websites of local childcare centers, or find a preschool within a church or whatnot. Good luck!


  2. I taught at a preschool here in Orlando, and they required that I had a high school diploma and a clean background. You have to be registered with the State of Florida, provide your fingerprints and undergo a background check.  You also have to take the state mandated 40-hour CDA course . At the school I taught at I had to complete it within 6 months of taking the position. They paid for the cost of the classes and if I was terminated or quit they would take it out of my check.
