  1. I recently had a friend make it with DOI....I'm trying to remember what was on her list of things she had to perform for the DOI try outs, after she submitted her resume and a video of her skating.  She had all consistent double jumps, except for a double axel.  DOI requires very good footwork skills and some dance-type moves.  I believe you have to also audition with a program.

    Try this site:

On the site there is FAQ, more contact addresses/emails and the steps of the process with requirements.

For more info on auditions, send a photo and resume to:

    Good luck!!

  2. idk my ex gf tryed out...and she was a pro figure skater..but then rite b4 she went she got in a car acsident and hurt her back so now she cant skate anymore!

I would just go tryout and see what it comes out as!

  3. My Coach is aiming to be on Disney on Ice, too! She is still young (16 going on 17)

You have to be at least 18, though.

It does require consistent jumps and spins. My coach is choosing this route instead of competitive because of physical problems (which makes her jumps less technically correct, but she can still do them.)

    Spins, however, are more important.

Footwork and such are even more important.

It does depend, however, and you must try out.

THE MOST IMPORTANT: Presentation! You have to be an actress, and then a skater. You have to be a fantastic, enthusiastic skater that makes people want to watch you.

  4. Sorry I can't answer your question specifically, but from having recently gone to Princesses on Ice, it was clear that all the women skaters were pairs skaters.  So you would definitely need experience in that area.
