What are the requirements to buy a gun at West Marine?

I think in Illinois you have to have a Firearms Owner's ID or something like that to be able to purchase firearms. Federal law states that you have to be 18 for a rifle and 21 for a pistol, so you're good to go for rifles other than getting the ID.

Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. You will have to obtain a FOID card and you will only be able to buy shotguns or rifles. There are still some nice gun stores outside of Chicago, but still in your state where you can get some pretty nice rifles. Soon Chicago will have to let you be able to buy a handgun too. The Supreme Court ruled the obvious, it is your constitutional right.
