What are the requirements to get help from the Salvation Army?

The Salvation Army will help anyone in need.

Except in the cases of a disaster or a fire or other emergent cases you have to meet a means test based on your income, living conditions or health.

They and the Red Cross have helped millions of people worldwide.

The Salvation Army has an endless list of ways they can help and situations to help with.  I would assume that if you have any problem of any size, there's a greater than 50% chance you're eligible.  Check out "What We Believe" and "Position Statements" under "About Us" on their website.

You must show a legitimate need for their assistance.  Someone from the S.A. will sit down and interview you briefly to see if they can assist you.  If they can, they will.
