  1. unlike the old days they can now put any name they want on the car. they all have the same body. most companies seem to try to put the name of the car they manufacture with the closest wheelbase to nascar on their race cars. the lowest manufactured car i know about used in the old days was the 1966 ford fairlane 427, i believe they built under 60 of them.     i guess people that know nothing about racing love to give thumbs down. i think we all know whose fans are the ignorant ones. their driver would hate their ignorance. go play your video games, and leave a racing site to race fans.

  2. are you crazy do you have no sense of sight, its blatantly obvious that the only similarities between the actual race car and the stock factory models is the way they sticker lights and the real lights are positioned on both cars

  3. I dont know. It used to be that they had to be made in America, have 2 doors and 200 production models be available for sale to the general public. That was up into the early '90's.

Global economy forced Nascar to change with the times. Now the big 3 is hurting and Toyota's in there now and people actually root for them. Makes me sick. You can't even buy a TRD motor but you can flip open a catolog and buy anything the big 3 has under the hood in Nascar.

  4. As far as I know, a certain amount of the model have to be produced for that year. That is why the Superbird is such a rare car, they only made as many production models as they needed to get it approved by NASCAR.
