  1. These two web sites both have links to gun laws of various states.  NYC may have laws that are in conflict with the State of New York so keep that in mind.  Here are the sites:

    http://gunowners.org

    http://nra.org

  2. Haha no one in NYC should have guns except police.

Never been there, never want to go, never heard anything good come from that city.

  3. Are you Howard Stern, The Mayor, Billy Joel or Robert Deniro?

If you are not, you ARE NOT getting a carry permit in New York City. A permit to possess in your house.... Maybe. Go to the police station, fill out the forms , Pay the non refundable application fee and wait 12-18 months for your rejection letter, for a permit to keep it in your house.......

It would be much easier to move to a free state, The Sullivan Act is the Single WORST peice of manure gun law ever passed.

  4. Are you referring to a Carry permit, or an owners permit?

  5. Had one when I lived there.

Believe it is easier now than in the past since there has been a must issue order due to legal action.

If an application is denied , the city must show cause & "must" issue if you meet legal requirements.. in 4 to 6 months.

Your paperwork must be perfect & fingerprinting is required.

Once a license is granted , you are issued a "purchase permit" which authorizes a dealer to make the sale.

Once a license is issued , it must be renewed periodically & amended to show the purchase of new weapons.

Can take a while , but not all that difficult if you meet all the requirements

Get license forms from local police precinct .

Easiest would be to visit /join NRA certified clubs to see about proficiency /safety requirements.

The NRA has a range locator site & there are a few in Manhattan.

    Also search NYC licensing bureaus.

Pistol licences have  a "carry concealed" provision, however it may be limited to a to/from situation such as travelling  to & from a range

Premesis permits limit you to a home or business.

There are "unrestricted" permits which are issued as a condition of employment.

The so called "full carry" unrestricted license is really hard to come by

without cause unless you have  "friends"

Start the paperwork , know your rights & see  what happens

    Best regards

  6. from what I have read... getting a pistol permit in NYC  the chances run "slim to none"

Try Packing.org or one of the othe CCW websites to read about your state and local restrictions
