  1. To look for ways to promote the station and bring the advertisers in on it. For instance, let's say the fair is in town and you work for a rock station. Your job would be to contact the fair organizers and ask them if you can set up a live broadcast at the fair, give away some goodies, and promote some of the advertisers. You might also get the stations advertisers to give away some free stuff with their logos or names on them. For instance, coupons to local restaurants that advertise on the station.

    Your job is to look for opportunities to promote the station and let people in the broadcast area know you exist. How you do this is entirely up to you and your creativity.

    You might also be given an opportunity to sale advertising. If they offer you that go for it. You'll earn a nice commission on advertising dollars and learn how to sell!
