What are the responsibiltiies of school bus driver's aide(s)?

What do they do after the students are dropped off at their respective schools and homes? Do they sometimes come with the bus driver during field trips? Do they aide the bus driver with wheelchair-bound students, fire drills, etc.?

in some school districts, they work at the school with the same children that they were with on the schoolbus

in other school districts, they have a "split" shift like many schoolbus drivers and are just off of work in between the bus routes

yes, they should be trained and work with the driver for all emergency evacuation drills
