  2. I like the restaurant in Manor Hotel for fine dining and for simple meals the one across the hotel -- n'everything nice.

    Setting: Cabinlike interiors and country themed decor create a very homey atmosphere for this restaurant. Cosy and intimate, this is an ideal place to simply relax and enjoy your meal. On chillier nights,a roaring fire is lit in the fireplace in the centre of the room.

    Food:The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from Italian pastas to the standard American burger to the more familiar Filipino entrees. The pumpkin soup is hearty and a comfort to eat during the colder nights. Fried to golden brown, the Homemade Bagnet manages to be crunchy without being too greasy. The accompanying condiment - mixture of tomatoes, onions, ginger, and bagoong - succeeds in bringing a new dimension to the dish. If you like garlic, the Salpicado, sauteed beef cubes served on top of garlic rice, is very intense in taste. The Forest House Lamb, which is grilled lamb marinated in mustard with garlic and soy sauce is also very delicious. Surprisingy tender, each morsel bursts with flabous. The restaurant offers several kinds of cakes for dessert. Enjoy the very luscious Carrto Cake Supreme with a cup of coffee to cap your meal.

    Wine: nly a few reds and whites are offered on the menu. Instead, chose cocktails, the freshest fruit shakes, or even coffee.

    Service: In general the staff are friendly and eager to please. Some of the newer staff have yet to familiarize themselves with the menu. However the more experienced are able to give good recommendations for both food and wine.

    Price: Very affordable. One can enjoy a complete and satisfying meal for less than Php 500.

    Setting: Situated inside the exclusive Baguio Country Club, this Japanese restaurant has lare glass windows that enable diners to experience the beautiful view of the city's mountain range and pine trees.

    Food: The California Sarada is a very refreshing way to begin your meal. The salad made up of pickled cucumbers, crabsitcks, Japanese Mayonnaise, tobiko, and seasame seeds is served in large enough portions to be good for two. Signature dishes include Tepanyaki, Saba Nitzuki, and the Tempura.

    Wine: There is a decent selection from Australia, CAlifornia, Maipo, Chile, and Bordeaux France. The menu offers detailed descriptions of each wine as well as a chart that pairs the different wines with the food it goes best with. Champagne and sparkling wines are now also available.

    Service: Dressed in traditional kimonos, the staff are both efficient and polite. They are very familiar with the menu, and are able to tell you what ingredients make up a dish and how it is prepare.

    PricE: Fairly moderate. Expect to spend about Php700 for a three course meal without drinks.
