What are the results(and news) good or bad for the A380 now that it is in service?

It's too soon to tell anything because there are only three in service.  Getting them built is the problem and according to a very recent article in a leading air transport industry magazine A380 customers are waiting to hear from Airbus about the possible impact on their deliveries as the manufacturer undertakes a production review amid speculation that the programme could again slip by up to six months.

There are only four in service not 3 and they're all with Singapore Airlines. Some weeks ago the SIA CEO, reported that they were getting 99% reliability with their A380 and they were getting 20% less fuel burn in relation to their 747's(Airbus promised 17%, so its overperfoming). So with Singapore Airlines, the A380 is having a great service life...

Many companies have dropped their orders for the 380 and gone for a Boeing aircraft just because they dont have faith airbus will deliver, and they have discovered that the A380 cannot operate from normal runways even if they are the correct length, because they would go through the concrete. It turns out that if you want to operate the A380 you need to build your runways and taxiways out of a concrete that doenst use water and is very expensive.
