  1. WEIGHT GAIN.

    *gasp*

    yeah....and you're a female so don't do it. :-)

  2. Well there is no real negative medical effects of smoking marijuana actually marijuana is used to help cancer patients so no you will not get cancer from it  and if you are already paranoid that smoking marijuana will only make you even more paranoid, hungry and if its an Indica dominant that you get a lil tired

"What risks are linked to pot?

We'll start with the heart, because pot can get things pumping faster there than a tricked-up drum machine at a techno music festival.

In fact, rapid heartbeat -- which, for some users, can speed up by as much as 50 percent--is one of the few universal physical effects of marijuana. (Another is increased appetite -- AKA "the munchies.")

Even though increased heart rate only lasts minutes and isn't a threat to most people, it could add strain for users with heart disorders or high blood pressure.

A bigger threat to more users is irritation to the lungs and respiratory airways, since users tend to inhale pot deeply and hold it in the lungs for as long as possible.

Even though a direct link with lung cancer is unproven, pot smoke does contain cancer-causing chemicals (known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), so it's not that farfetched, either.

theres probably many other health risks. dont get into marijuana please. you might ruin friendships as well and hurt your parents if they find out. it might make you do some pretty stupid things youll regret.

  4. The biggest risk involved with consuming Cannabis is Incarceration.  Tens of Thousands are arrested in the United States every year for simple Cannabis possession.  Aside from that....**excessive** use could cause some weakness in the lungs from all the smoking.  However, you see people who smoking 2 packs of cigarettes (40 sticks) daily..... they experience a lot of problems.  But who smokes 40 joints a day?  Don't overdo it and you'll be okay.  Over 100,000 die every year from Alcohol and over 400,000 every year from Tobacco.....Marijuana??  Zero

  5. cancer has never been reported to be caused by marijuana. the only risks are jail time, hunger, sleepiness, and laughter. you might also get black lungs which will make you out of breath faster. enjoy =)

  6. I think that a common misconception is that the government sites are credible and that their word is the word of god.  Remember politicians are the same individuals that were "special" in school.  That is why they are so easily swayed by special interest groups,  WEAK PEOPLE THAT LIE.  Anyway I would pay attention to people that have a better insight, like real doctors,  not government puppet Dr's. Check the AMA, and cancer institute.

While the government is totally right on banned man made substances, i.e. cocaine, heroine,  they dropped the ball on marijuana.

  7. marijuana doesnt cause cancer. it actually promotes the growth of brain cells.  and it is the least toxic substance known to man.  potatoes are more toxic to humans than marijuana.  the head of the DEA said this himself.  marijuana is one of the greatest gifts to mankind.  smoke it and enjoy, trust me.  the biggest risk comes from the police who try to capture you and lock you in a cage if they find you with it for some weird reason.

  8. Interestingly enough, it doesn't appear to cause cancer. The real harm in marijuana seems to be its tendency to cause laziness and intellectual impairment. For some, it's a real life ruiner.

  9. Smoking marijuana isn't the type of thing where if you smoke once you'll get lung cancer. You shouldn't be paranoid about cancer. Everyone on the face of the planet is going to die at some point in time, that's the way of life. Wether it's from cancer or from a gang shooting. So why not enjoy the time you have now with whatever makes you happy.

Marijuana has opened my eyes up a bunch, I've had some really great times, and have met some really great people just by smoking weed. It kind of brings everyone together with one common interest.

The only problems I've had with smoking marijuana is a little weight gain, from the munchies. Oh, and the other downfall to weed is after you smoke, you become 'cotton mouthed', basically your mouth and throat become really dry.

Studies show that most of the risks are long term, like impaired memory, coordination, balance, and of course respitatory problems. If you do experience these in the long run, they won't be as great as someone who smokes all day everyday.

  10. You might get high!

You could get cancer from a variety of things.  Or you could just get cancer.

My point is life is full of cancer.

No my point is, live your life and don't let cancer scare you.  Smoking pot now and then will probably not give you cancer or maybe it will.

Live a life of moderation and try not to worry.  You might live to be a hundred and be sorry you didn't smoke that pot.  Or you might smoke it and find you don't like it.

Just don't worry to much, life is a c**p-shoot, there is no magic answer here.

  11. smoke it once then youll see your body goes into a wierd state like heavy breathing and sort of sleepiness mood

  12. Marijuana has not been linked to heart disease, cancer, or asthma by an independent research foundation.

research foundations funded by the government on the other hand...

you can develop minuscule lung problems, but i know people who have smoked weed for 40+ years, and their lungs are fine. if you use a vaporizer to smoke, then there are NO problems at all, aside from being high, but that's what were here for, isn't it?

you really have nothing to worry about UNLESS you smoke a lot, the pot you smoke is not very potent (cheap), or is not cured correctly. other than that, happy smoking.

  13. First off, as far as brain cells go, smoking pot isnt the most popular way of wasting them. Like normal, when you use Marijuana you should actively exercise your brain. When I smoke, I like doing crossword puzzles and reading. - The other primary risk is to your lungs. Try not to smoke blunts or even joints. Use a vaporizer. - No not the one your mom sat in your room when you were a kid and sick. - Vaporizers eliminate almost all of the harmful chemicals associated with smoking marijuana by heating the marijuana to the exact temp to release THC without ever producing actual smoke. You can even make one pretty easily yourself. - FTP

  14. I just think live a life doing whatever the h**l you want, or live a life waiting to die...(a pot smoker for life)
