What are the risks of wearing silicone earplugs?

The ones that create an airtight seal. Can putting pressure on the seal damage your ear drum?

I wear Mack's silicon earplugs frequently on conventions. One of the best earplugs I've ever wore. Only risk is jamming them in too far to a point that you can't remove them. But that can be easily removed with a tool or pick by someone else (don't do it yourself.).
