Are the roads similar to our interstates or more like unlimited access roads? T-Y

  1. They are similar to our interstate highways.


  2. The road from Malaga to Madrid is the N-4.

    It is equivalent to a 4 lane freeway for most of the way.

    I drive usually via Granada and Jaen, Cordoba would be more direct, but that road still has sections that go through small towns, and this slows one down.

    From Malaga to Madrid it takes about six hours on a normal day... with at least two "pitstops" one for a short rest and coffee, and another at a service station to fill the cars tank. It's a fairly easy drive. (Except right now when we have had some bad snowstorms).

    As a matter of fact, I was going to leave for Madrid tomorrow, and we have delayed the trip one extra day, to make sure the roads are completely cleared before we leave.

    There are aproximately 550 kilometers between both cities.
