What are the rules about lighting fires on scottish beaches?

  1. the fire can not be on earthy ground as it can ignight underneath,

    you can light on the rocky ground or on the sand, but you have to turn it out once you leave it.

    and it cant be too big.

    since your near the beach i would search for drift wood witch is extremly dry and burn that.

    you arnt aloud to take wood from inside the forest, or fenced off area's even if it is dead wood and on the floor.

    i would ask at a local pub if your aloud, and all the perticulars.

    i have been to scotland many times, camped on the beach and light fires, asking the locals is good. (this was in a place called glenelge in the highlands.)


  2. don't do it lass.

  3. If it is remote enough, noone will notice. Please look after the environment and leave everything as clean as it was. Enjoy your party ;-)

  4. Remove your kilt first for safety reasons.

    Keep a hose in your sporran.

    Make sure your bagpipes are full of air.
