What are the rules and regulations for transporting pets via air to france?

I've heard animals have to stay quarantined for 8 weeks before being allowed into France. Could just be a rumor though.

Actually, if I remember correctly, as of a few years ago, passengers flying first (and possibly business) class on Air France were allowed to have a SMALL dog/cat with them in the cabin =]  Check their website for more information.

Otherwise, be it you're flying in economy or the rules have since changed, the same standards apply as in the US.
