  1. You only need a government issued ID if you are 18 or over, so I wouldn't worry about that (unless it is international travel, then you will need a passport).     Your parents will need to show their ID when they drop you off, if they're not travelling with you.

    Other important things to know:

You can check a bag or two (depending on the airline) that will travel in the baggage compartment.  You can also bring a carry-on bag that will go on the plane with you.   In the carry-on, you can't bring sharp objects, and can only bring no more than 3 oz. containers of liquids, and only as much as will fit in quart ziplock bag.   The rest of your liquids can go in the checked luggage.

Think about what you would do if you're checked bag got lost or delayed; pack important things in your carry-on (medications, toothbrush, change of underwear etc.)

    Have a great trip!!

  2. Leave all weapons at home.

  3. Depends where you are coming and going from. You will always need some kind of government issued ID, preferably a passport. If it is an international flight you will definitely need a passport. Make sure the name that you registered for the flight with matches your ID.

Check with your airline what time you should check-in for the flight and allow lots of time.

Make sure that in your carry-on luggage all your "liquids and gels" (lipgloss, mascara, cream, toothpaste, etc) are smaller than 100ml each and all are in a clear, resealable ziplock bag to go through security.

Any sharp objects like metal nail files, scissors, etc. that you want to bring should be put into your checked luggage as they are not allowed in the cabin as carry-on items.

    Have a good trip!
