  1. Hi,

A historical American flag is just as official as a modern 50 Star American flag.  No US National Colors (Stars and Stripes) of any star count or configuration has ever been "retired", and all can be flown equally along with any American flag, historical or modern.  (Same height on poles, etc.)  Also, please don't ever burn flags, especially old flags.  They're heritage items and even if one touches the ground, picking it back up and raising it again is more respectful to than putting a match to it and destroying it. Many a war flag in combat has hit the ground in the midst of battle; great sacrifices were made to pick them back up and carry them on.
