  1. I'd ask your coach, as nobody around here is going to have a clue to the right answer.


  2. my buddy had a cast last season for a few of our games. it just has to be wrapped really well, and have a doctors note to show to the ref.

    The requirements are: All exterior surfaces must be covered by a minimum 1/2 inch thick, high-density, closed-cell polyurethane or alternate material of the same minimum thickness with similar characteristics.  The coach must also produce a note written by a medical doctor (MD or DO) stating that the cast is to protect an injury.

    The umpire must approve the cast and see the note before the game.  He may also require a copy of the note to be kept for his records.
