What are the saddest scenes to you in gaming history?

This might sound bazaar, but what are the saddest scenes in gaming history to you.

Mine would have to be in MGS1 where Gray Fox has a conversation with Snake about how he killed Namoi’s parents when he was young. Also Meryl’s death in MGS1 where she was lying there on top of Rex and Snakes comes along blaming himself for her death and the music played during that scene.

ALSOOOOOOOOOOOO, how did Meryl return in MGS4 when she died in MGS1 by the torturing of Ocelot.

Meryl doesn't die in MGS1. In the actual canon, she survives the torture and escapes with snake. If you remember, the choice is up to the player to give in to the torture or to endure it.

Anyway, my pick for saddest scene would be when Ada falls to her apparent death in front of Leon in Resident Evil 2. The music was so dramatic!

i would say in final fantasy 7 when aerith gets killed or in crisis core when zack dies but i got to go more when aerith dies

I would say in MGS 3 snake eater when we find out the The Boss is a double agent and she dies for her country while nobody will ever know what she did for them! And it all depends, see the way i remember it was the i was being tortured and i had to press X a thousand times to withhold the pain from the torture! at the end i remember that she was still alive. So i don't quite remember and correct me if i am wrong but there was two ways that the story plot could go!

I think the saddest gaming moment ever is in MGS4 when Naomi tells Otakon that she's going to die of cancer, and he's starts crying for like 10 minutes.

Then the second would have to be when Aeris was murdered by Sephiroth in FF VII.
