  1. Generally, overtime pay is one and a half times your regular wage.  (eg:  if you make $7.00 an hour on regular time, you will make $10.50 an hour while on overtime)

    DA is the expansion for Dearness Allowance. It recognises the fact that the value of the wages given is eroded due to inflation and rise in price. Hence, an allowance in the form DA is recognised as a legitimate means compensating the loss in value of the wages. It is fixed on the basis of the index of inflation based on the prices of a basket of essential commodities.
