What are the scarezones in halloween horror night?

...and if they are where the people scare you are the other parts you walk around in safe and scare free?

Scarezones are designated zones where they scare you...obviously. For example last year there was a Toxic Waste scare zone and there were pigs running around with chainsaws and other frightening things, but the WHOLE park is either haunted houses or scare zones. There are usually 3 or 4 main haunted houses then the rest of the park is divided up into scare zones. And no if you want to walk around in a scare free area go on a night they are not doing halloween horror nights as that is the purpose of halloween horror nights...to scare you! But i noticed you mentioned "Safe and scare free" yes the scare zones and the haunted houses may be scary but do not worry as they are all safe and well controlled!

Scarezones are areas in the park where zombies and other halloween characters jump out and scare people. Girls that act scared and scream alot attract the most attention, and it is entertaining for other park guests. ;) You can usually get a map which lists where the haunted attractions/scarezones are located as you enter the park.

The scarezones in King's Dominion were enclosed in a dense fog, and if it wasn't for my friend's bright red Red Sox shirt, I would have lost him! I never had anyone jump out at me, or chase me, and we did all of the Halloween attractions. I got to watch others being chased/scared though... :)

Its alot of fun, and they are just actors, nothing to be afraid of!

I am not sure of which park you are asking about, but at King's Dominion, and at the Six Flags Fright Fests I have been to, there were no zombies lurking outside the scare zones.

While there aren't any fully 'scare-free' areas, they tend to stay away from the concert area during the shows. The closer you get to the various haunted houses, the more likely you'll hit a bunch of roaming scarers.
