What are the screaming bugs or birds outside my window in Iowa?

So I' recently moved to Iowa. In the evening there are very loud and annoying bugs/birds in the trees. They sound like either a wacked out siren or a screaming peacock on drugs. What are they?

What you heard is either a Indian Peafowl or a Eastern Screech owl or it could of been a bobcat or maybe the cicada.
