  1. yes

    yes

    sometimes

    no

  2. if you look on your map you will see the tropic of Capricorn running through Queensland, northern territory and western oz

bassically around that line and above will be humid guaranteed, in Tasmania it snows in summer time, it rains 360 days of the year in Victoria and drips of the trees the other five days, the NSW mid north coast has the best climate

  3. You only need a hat with corks if you want to look COOOOOL. The reason people used to wear a hat with corks was because in the country, the flies can be a HUGE nusciance! You wear the hat and swish your head and the corks help to keep the flies away.

These days, many Australians live in the cities, and don't even have to worry about the flies! It's a whole other story in country Australia though - the flies drive you INSANE. Especially in central Australia. I'd recommend Aeroguard.

  4. In Australia, the seasons are opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere

Summer occurs in the months of December, January and February

Autumn is in the months of March, April and May

Winter is in the months of June, July and August and

Spring is in the months of September, October and November

Due to its size, geographical location and the lack of extensive high mountain ranges, Australia has a wide range of climates with generally no extremes.

The average maximum temperature is 25.5C (77.3F) and the average minimum temperature is 15.7C (60.2F). This, along with the fact Australia is the driest continent on earth make our land a great all-destination. In our winter you can ski in the southern states one day and be diving in the northern states the next!

You don't need a hat with corks, this is just the way outback Australians are depicted overseas. You will be fine in a wide brim hat or a baseball cap, but remember to bring some SPF 30+ Sunscreen as the sun can get very hot in the summer!!!

  5. As the 1st user said it dependson where you go..Up north(Queensland up to Darwin across to the top of W.A) are very hot and humid..It can reach as high as 45 degrees celsius in summer-December-March.....

Where i live in Victoria(way down South0 it reaches as much as 43 degrees in summer9and i live near beach0,in the bushland of Vuctoria(our high country) the temps are much the same but the sun has a stronger bite to it..Yes you feel the sting in the sun..So if people are telling you Victoria has $hit weather--They are lying...lol...

up the top end from darwin to the top of W.A they have SEVERE floodings and very tropical storms, some out back settlememnts(Aboriginal) also get closed off for months at a time...

And yes the flies are bloody bad too,Yeah bring ya corks but "Dont forget the Aeroguard"!!!!

Aeroguard is an Aussie icon to help get rid of the flies and mossies(mosquitos)......

  6. It all depends on where you go.

Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and the Gold Coast tend to be beautiful during summers.

It does get hot during summer, 45 degrees celcius has been the max but you don't need hat with corks.

Winters get cold only in Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart (below 10 degrees)

But Australia has beautiful weather most of the time and the place and people are wonderful

  7. I live in North Qld.  We have rainy season and not rainy season.

Yes it's BYO hat with corks.

  8. EDIT: sorry I thought for some reason that you were from Australia and asking about USA

sorry and laughing at myself, I guess I need sleep

It depends on what part of the country you are talking about.

    USA I assume? Not Canada?

Any way I live in Pennsylvania, which is on the near the Eastern coast. We have a temperate climate. Very hot&humid in summer up to 90+degrees F. And Very cold in winter well below 0 degrees F. The mid-west (places like Arizona) is More Arid in summer. Northern places near Canada are less Hot&Humid and MUCH more cold in winter (Montana in the mid-west, Vermont north of me)

And On the West coast all I know is that Washington State and Oregon have a lot more rain because we actually have a temperate(not tropical) rainforest out there.

  9. Central Queensland,,(bush) ..hot..hotter still.and bloody hot,,then freezing in winter,,frost and ice,no snow here though.

  10. 1) No hat with corks

    2) Just put the seasons now backwards like Winter is Hot and Christmas is in Summer
