  1. Over the last couple of years I've found Lufthansa and FinnAir to have some really cheap tix. It all depends where you're flying from/to and how early you book.

Book as soon as you know where and when you want to go as generally the later you leave it the more expensive it gets.

I've found some of the online travel agents/ticket sites a bit of a rip off as they usually charge you a booking fee as well as a credit card fee. If you book with 'physical' agents or the airline direct they may absorb these fees for you. You also know where to go and who to yell at if something goes wrong.

Booking online the best you'll get is a long wait on hold and then get transferred to a call centre on another continent.

GREAT service and helpful advice.  Go to this website and click the link for 'Travel Resources'.

Also look at this one.  They are owned by the same people.

Call for more information.  They know what they are talking about.

  3. Domestically VirginAmerica and Jetblue are the cheapest. Ironically they are the most comfortable and their staffs are super friendly.
