  1. You will want a structured, routine, program for your son- one that he can predict and feel comfortable attending, but that is still flexible and offers frequent changes (so he learns to cope with change).

An appropriate adult: student ratio is important; a functional approach to behavior training is important (problem behaviors may be a result of communication deficits, and teaching more appropriate behaviors rather than punishing is critical).

Most students with autism often receive speech therapy, occupational therapy- for fine motor, gross motor and sensory issues, adapted PE, and specially designed instruction in for academic subjects at their level (math, reading, writing, etc.).

If this is not available to you, setting up his program with visual supports and prompts to help your son make sense of his program (schedules, behavior expectations, etc.) as well as establishing reinforcement contingencies should help.

  2. Therapists- Speech, Occupational and Physio- some students may have issues with motor skills as a result of their Autism. Speech therapists work with people at all levels of the communication continuum including verbal and non-verbal. In which case they would probably use some sort of symbols.

Teachers and teacher's assistants who have been trained in working with Autistic Children.

  3. no you must takeing care your son because is good

    so you will become good

    in ????????????????????????????????????????...

  4. Having worked with the Autistic, a special Cenre for Autistic children should have things such as speech and Therapy unit(even if a child is non-verbal sign language can be taught),a sensory room is good, to help an autistic child relax and be aware of surroundings- you, yourself would enjoy this....p.e: physical Education activities such as playing and games.Art activities.Creative expression very important.Hope the below are helpful to you. x

  5. speech pathologists

    occupational therapists

    psychologists

    just to name a few.

  6. other alternatives are

GreenSpan (DIR), Miller Method, Verbal Behavior, Son RIse, RDI, TEACHH

    staff should include
