  1. In what country?

  2. If you are talking about training in the U.S., here's your answer:

First, there is no such thing as a Private Pilot's License. It's a Certificate. I hold in my hand a Pilot Certificate.

Second, that being said, there are only four exams (As such):

    1) Medical - Given by a Designated Medical Examiner

    2) Pre-Solo Written - Given by your instructor, prior to solo.

    3) Private Written - Given at a testing site (Good for One Yr)

    4) Flight Exam - Given by an FAA Flight Examiner

Third, you can study online and take a practice written at:

    http://www.sportys.com/faatest/

Fourth, you can get more information about getting your Private Certificate at:

      http://www.aopa.org/learntofly/index.htm...

Good luck.  Oh, and lastly, you need to be 16 to solo (and pass your Medical) and 17 to get your Certificate.  And I'd get your medical out of the way first - no sense spending money on training if you can't pass the medical.

  3. well first you need your SPL, student pilots license.

you can buy your student pilots kit to study for the tests.

    the test are;

first solo and radio opperation tests (theyre seperate tests but must be done before your first solo flight)

first area solo (done before your first area solo)

When youve done this theres some others tests for pasenger carrying privilages and theres another one i forget what for.

Then, your only aloud to fly in the traning area and circuit area.

You must do yout PPL to get your navigation.

  4. You have to take a written exam.

You have to take an oral exam.

And you have to take a flight exam.

I would suggest investing in a ground school course like king school's or sporty's private pilot course. It's only like $100 for sporty's course.

  5. Positive about the first five but it's a long time since I was learning to fly. Why not go to your local flying school and ask them. They will be only too happy to help.

U.K. - Navigation, Air Law, Meteorology, Communications, Engines and Airframes, Flying Test, Medical.

    Good luck

  6. Aviation law, meteorology, navigation, aircraft general, flight planning and performance, human performance, Communication (RT).  Get the PPL Confuser (twenty quid) - thats all you need to get through your exams...

  7. It is 3 tests not 7.  But you will learn about 10 major parts of being a private pilot.

Try to get the Jeppesen Private Pilot book or download the video

Try to get the King School's Videos, they are corny but very educational and understandable.  I will show you where you can watch King School Videos online...

    3. Navigation and Radio Aids

    4. Meteorology

    5. Aircraft (general) and Principles of Flight

    6. Flight Performance and Planning
