N.Y.P.D. work all types of different shifts, some work 8, 10, or 12, it varies from division!!! Most large departments like N.Y.P.D. have day, evening and night shift. Day shift is; 6-2 and 7-3, evenings is; 2-10 and 3-11, and night shift is; 10-6 and 11-7, the shifts are called early side and late side. They sometimes have a swing shift which starts two-three hours after early side shift and works an 8, 10, or 12 or shift!!!
