What are the short and long term environmental consequences of solar energy?

In the short term due to global warming people may exposed to skin cancer, low or extreme high rainfall results drought or flooding, acid rain in the developed nations  destruction of plants and wildlifes, erosion, food insecurity,etc. In the long run thepeople may not exist or survive if it countinues the situation with out behavioural change with co-operation of the people of the world.
