It really depends on what you mean by a small amount of money.

I have a couple trading accounts, and one of them just has 5,000 in it. I use it for making earnings plays. Mostly I use biased strangles. and sometimes I will use an out of the money broken wing butterfly. With these plays, mostly I hit a single or a double, and once in a while I hit a home run for 10 to 1 return on my money.
