What are the side effects of generic synthroid vrs name brand?

My wife was taking name brand synthroid with no side effects. We later moved, and she now sees a new doctor that has her take generic synthroid instead. Is there a list of side effects that affect generic users but not name brand users?

Side effects re not the issue.  Thyroid hormone levels need to be kept in a very tight range, and your wife should be having blood drawn regularly to check those levels.  Switching from Synthroid to generic may change the levels.  Synthroid is one of the few drugs that physicians will stick with the name brand to get consistency.

If her levels are good on the generic, no problem, but they do need to be checked.
