ive been on prescription pacsol (dont know how to spell it) for about two weeks. i started off just taking half of a 20mg pill, they made me feel nauseous, dizzy, weak and tired and gave me bad headaches. the first time i took a whole 20mg pill i got a bad migrane and woke up and 4am throwing up. i didnt take it the next day, or the next few days after. the next day that i did take it, the same thing happened. after that i went back to half pills. they still make me feel so sick, i have been unable to go out and do things i usually love to do. ive tried messing around with the time of day that i take it but really nothing has improved. my cousin and aunt seem to agree that if i go off my meds cold turkey i will go crazy. my mom said that i should continue taking half pills for a week or so. but i really just want out right now. i want to stop taking them forever. what should i do?

  1. You do not mention why you were prescribed Paxil.  Often we have to try different medications to find one that works well for us.  You should not go off the medicine without discussing it with your doctor.  You may also need to be seeing a therapist and should bring this up with your doctor as well.

  2. Paxil is your prescription.  You are supposed to take them every other day for 1 week to wean yourself off of them. However, you really need to call the doctor to get another rx.
