What are the side effects of metformin?

I have PCOS and I have been having diarrhea and i know this is one of its side effects..

But i've been very nauseous and dizzy this week...

my period is due on aug 22...

my obgyn advised july 29, 31, aug 2, 4, 6, and 8 contacts with my husband...

am i pregnant or is this just pms?

  1. I have pcos and am currently taking 2000 mg metformin daily. For the first 4 weeks I literally thought I could not go on! It was the worst ever! I had and still do have diarrhea. I also had severe stomach pains and I was also dizzy. I still to this day get dizzy quite often. But as for the severe stomach pain it is totally gone and now I only have diarrhea first thing of the morning when I get up. Keep taking it if you can, it will get better! Best Wishes on ttc!


  2. It's all normal side affects of the Metformin.  Just make sure you remember to eat before taking it or you'll REALLY regret it, trust me!
