  1. Prophase: The chromatin condenses into visible chromosomes.

Methphase: The kinetochore microtubules attach to the centromeres and move the chromosomes to the metaphase (equatorial) plate. The chromosomes are aligned such that each sister chromotid in a pair is on a different side of the metaphase plate and will be pulled to opposite poles.

Anaphase:  The sister chromotids are pulled to opposite poles of the cell. This requites the release of cohesion, the protein that binds the sister chromitids at their centromeres.

Telophase: New nuclear envelopes form around the sets of chromosomes located at each pole and the chromosomes begin to uncondense back into chromatin.

Cytokinisis: The cell membrane pinches off releasing to separate cells. In some species, such as plants, a new cell wall forms where the separation occurred. Note that in most cases cytokinisis occurs at the same time as telophase, although it is a separate process. There are some examples where cytokinisis does not occur (example: early in Fruit Fly development).

  2. 1. Formation of two sister chromatids from a single chromosome.

    2. Separation of chromatids during Ana phase.

3.Formation of two identical nuclei at Televise.

    4. Cytokinesis---formation of two identical cells at the end of Mitosis.
