pumkin has yawned, groom, on m finger is he tiered? he closes both eyes but dodoesn'turn his neck. and he streches his wings

  1. That could mean he's tired, or he's just very relaxed. A bird won't necessarily tuck his head back while he's on your hand, but if he starts "mouthing" (opening/closing his beak like he's nibbling the air) or lifts one foot off your hand then you'll know he's definitely ready for a nap!


  2. Hes comfortable around you.  And he could be a little sleepy.  If he's sleepy he'll hide his head in his wing and fall asleep.  This is normal behavior for my cockatiel.

  3. He is tired I guess put him back in the cage if you see him do it right on your finger.


  4. Those are signs he's comfortable and is relaxing his guard.  It's a good sign that he trusts you.  Birds are usually hyper alert because they have to be ready for anything.  He figures you're OK.
